PISTOL HANDLING AND PROFICIENCY TRAINING COURSE

This training is open to anyone (+18 YEARS) including individuals with no prior experience in shooting (OTHER THAN THE STATED PREREQUISITES OUTLINED BELOW), AS WELL AS licensed shooters who have their own PISTOL and equipment.
This training is suitable:
If you have completed PR1 and want to train in the safe and responsible use of pistols and have a greater understanding of weapons handling theory and best-practice.
If you are an accomplished shooter but have never undertaken formal pistol proficiency training, or training in practical or competitive pistol shooting fundamentals.
If you are prospective or current Defence Force or law enforcement personnel looking to supplement or enhance current skills in accordance with best-practice and higher level skills and proficiency requirements.

theMills’ Proficient Pistol course covers the safe and responsible use of firearms and introduces its students to best-practice in small-arms weapon handling and proficiency. The program incorporates training in care and maintenance, situational awareness, pistol theory and controlled accurate shooting principles.
All staff are accomplished, licensed and qualified ex-military combat veterans with extensive international experience in weapons training, safety and elite-level pistol shooting.
1000 - 1400 Saturday & Sunday
Students will need to bring:
Own food and beverages
Licensed firearms with suitable belt and holster with magazine holders+
Certificate of holster competency+
Good quality factory or tuned hand-loaded ammunition+
Clothing and enclosed footwear suitable for outdoor activity

Please note the costs for the course do not include the cost for ammunition which you will be using that is supplied by staff.
Ammunition packs can be purchased in advance for upcoming training courses. These packs consist of 50 rounds in the calibre suited to the weapons be supplied by theMill on the course (i.e. for PR courses .308; and for PP courses 9mm). Each course will have a minimum recommended quantity of ammunition required to achieve the competencies of the course. For each we recommend you at least purchase the minimum recommended quantities.
For PP courses we recommend a minimum of 200 rounds.
