This program underpins everything we set out to do when we started theMill gym. It was designed to prepare soldiers to be successful in Special Forces Selection and beyond. However, since 2008, and due to our high success rate, we have also adapted this program to suit anyone who strives to operate at an elite level in anything they do. All the services, camps and workshops we offer are a result of a training needs analysis conducted when we established the gym. All of these services form part of the critical pathway to achieving success at an elite level. They complement each other in terms of developing all aspects of our physical and mental capabilities.

Our exhaustive approach is extensive and covers planning and preparation, physical and mental conditioning, and stress testing the newly acquired knowledge and skills. To achieve optimal results, the elements of this program are to be completed in a systematic order. This ensures that you develop all DIMENSIONs of resilience (physical, mental, spiritual, emotional) in unison with developing real-world problem solving skills in extreme conditions and situations.

THE RESILIENCE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM [RDP]

 

The RDP includes:-

  • Resilience Development Workshop

  • Mindset and Mental Conditioning mentoring (by phone or one-on-one in person). this includes:

    • 1 x 1hr introductory mentoring session

    • 10 x 30min mentoring sessions

  • 12 week training program suitable to your current fitness level and goals

  • 25% off the mill Training camps & workshops (cadre, havoc, Chaos etc.)

The Mill RDP is founded on tried, tested and proven methodologies practiced by Tier-1 Special Forces Operatives. Your level of mental resilience is the direct result of the sum total of challenging experiences you have subjectED yourself to, and your ability to overcome the difficulties they present. It is a process TO develop and instil habits THAT reinforce appropriate behaviour and thought processes for managing stress, fear and anxiety and for solving complex-problems.


THE 4 RESILIENCE PILLARS

 

The RDP is built on the 4 Resilience Pillars. These Resilience Pillars are:

  1. Rest, relaxation & recovery

  2. Diet & nutrition

  3. General Physical Preparedness

  4. Mindset & mental conditioning

None of these pillars are more important than the other. They must all be addressed with equal priority in a balanced and consistent way. The process for improving and then mastering your skills and knowledge on these pillars will never end. It is a process of continuous improvement and over time, you will find that consistent attention and improvement of the process will help you to relax, build your confidence, forge your mental resilience and improve your performance.

Each pillar supports and impacts on the other pillars so the success of this program is very much reliant on your attention to each of these pillars individually. Often, for high achieving individuals it is not a matter of implementing the process but knowing which routines and habits to adopt and knowing what 'good' is (i.e. knowing what is the required mindset or outcome for elite performance. What is the mindset and what are the mental conditioning tools used by the most resilient and effective operators). 

Our RDP is designed to alleviate the issue of not knowing what 'good' is or how to get there. It helps you to identify what factors are contributing to this process and what are inhibiting you from reaching your potential. This makes the process of achieving your next level more efficient and effective.
